Introducing Custom Dashboards and Reports

Introducing Custom Dashboards and Reports

Every security team has different priorities, workflows, and reporting needs. What matters most to a CISO differs from what keeps a security analyst focused, and what a compliance manager tracks daily isn't the same as what an IT director needs to see at a glance. That's why we're excited to introduce custom dashboards and configurable tables to the Halo Security platform—giving you the power to create views that work exactly how your team does.

One Size Doesn't Fit All

Traditional security platforms force everyone into the same rigid dashboard layout, but we know that's not how real security teams operate. Your vulnerability analysts needs quick access to critical vulnerabilities and remediation status. Your compliance team wants to track PCI scan schedules and certification timelines. Your executive leadership needs high-level risk summaries and trend analysis.

With our new custom dashboard functionality, each team member can build and access the exact view they need to be most effective.

Build Your Perfect Dashboard

Creating custom dashboards is as simple as drag and drop. We've designed over a dozen customizable widgets that you can mix and match to create the perfect view for your role:

  • Risk Score Trends - Track your organization's security posture over time
  • Critical Issues - Focus on the issues that need immediate attention
  • Maps & Charts - Visualize your attack surface by geography, technology, or risk level
  • Compliance Status - Monitor PCI compliance and other regulatory requirements
  • Issue Severity Breakdown - See your security issues categorized and severity

These widgets are customizable and resizable and allow you to quickly access the data that matters most to you. Plus, we'll be adding new widget options based on customer feedback.

Easily Filter & Report

Our global filter system works across all your dashboards, making it easy to dive deep into specific targets, organizations, or tags.

Seamless Team Collaboration

Custom dashboards aren't just for individual use. Share your carefully crafted views across your entire team, ensuring everyone has access to the same critical insights.

Configurable Tables: See What Matters

Modifying columns in the Halo Security dashboard

In the same spirit of customization, we've completely reimagined how you interact with your target data. Our new configurable target tables let you choose exactly which columns display in your target lists giving you the information you need at a glance.

You can easily create and save multiple table views for different scenarios. Resize columns to fit your screen and workflow, and switch between saved views with a single click. We've also included several preconfigured views to get you started immediately.

Smarter Auto-Tagging for Better Asset Organization

Asset organization is critical for managing complex attack surfaces, and manual tagging simply doesn't scale. That's why we've enhanced our auto-tagging capabilities to give you more precise control over how your assets are categorized and maintained.

Our improved automation settings now let you choose exactly how tags are applied to your targets:

  • Sync Tags - Completely replace existing tags with your automation rules
  • Add Tags - Append new tags while preserving existing ones
  • Remove Tags - Selectively remove specific tags based on your criteria

This granular control means you can create sophisticated asset management workflows. For example, automatically tag all assets running outdated software versions while preserving existing environment and ownership tags, or sync compliance-related tags while leaving team-assigned categories untouched.

We've further streamlined the automation system for better performance and predictability. Tag modifications are now treated as actions that can run automatically, and we recommend setting tag automations to auto-run for consistent target organization.

The Power of Personalization

These updates reflect our continuing commitment to making Halo Security work the way you do. Over the coming months, we'll be extending these configurable table capabilities to other areas of the platform, giving you even more control over how you view and interact with your security data.
